Connections

We engage with architecture as a living process, one that adapts and grows alongside us. It shapes our movement through the world our relationships and our future imaginings.  Given the world’s current state, filled with more questions than answers, we approach each project with care and urgency. Through 1:1 prototyping, in our own studio facilities, we learn from our makings. Often these research in connections find their place into our designs.

Kamiyama Makerspace connection

Designed for a structure of a furniture cabinet.

The Vertical element carries the frame while the horizontal element encloses the connection and provides a sliding path for the crates.

Misc – Fair Furniture connection

The Vertical leg of the table caries the structure while the horizontal rods connect the legs together. They let drawers slide on them and hold the display drawers as they cantilever.

T-Bar connection

The Vertical block connects to the wall as well as the horizontal rod. Both elements are connected by a pin.

Current Obsession connection

The frame has horizontal and diagonal connections. The additional shelves can both rest on the diagonal beams as well as the rods.
